Abstract

This research focuses on the development of EnviroQuest, a web-based game designed to improve environmental science education and raise awareness among K-12 students. By integrating educational content with engaging game mechanics, EnviroQuest encourages knowledge retention and problem-solving skills. Inspired by UNESCO’s environmental education mandate and the Berlin Declaration for Sustainable Development, the game immerses students in sustainable living practices through interactive experiences. Utilizing Agile Methodology, the project followed iterative phases such as planning, design, development, release, and review. Results highlight EnviroQuest as an effective tool that bridges traditional and innovative learning methods, promoting critical thinking and motivating students to engage with environmental challenges. The game’s quests and interactive elements provide a fun yet impactful way to inspire sustainable action among the youth.
